The spaces between are where ideas lilt and linger,

where thoughts drift in daydream

and where I find

the edges.

The spaces between are where lines define and detail

where light illuminates and shadows

and where I find positions.

The spaces between are where smiles are shared suddenly

Where a raised eyebrow beckons

And where I find electricity.

The spaces between are where affection grows carefully

where warmth is hugs and hands-held

and where I find my rest.
